March 16, 2020

Dear Resident, Friends and Neighbors:

The Hamptons of Cloverlane is committed to safeguarding the health of our residents, staff, guests and all others.  As we monitor the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want to keep you apprised of our actions and policies to keep you protected.

More businesses are expected to announce closures in the coming days, and stricter state guidelines on event sizes and business operations could be forthcoming. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued nationwide guidelines Sunday recommending cancelling all events of (50) or more people for the next eight weeks. In areas with even minimal COVID-19, events likely to include (10) or more people of higher risk (the elderly and those with chronic medical conditions) should be cancelled.

As we shared last week, our community is following the guidance from the Local and State Health Departments and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations to prevent exposure to the virus by residents, guests, visitors and staff.

Based on the local, state and county closures and recommended closures, we are following suit and will close the fitness facility until further notice.
Based on the local, state and county closures and recommended closures, all other amenity areas/spaces will be closed until further notice.  This includes:  Billiards or game rooms, business centers, dog washing stations, pools, racquetball, tennis courts, volleyball, etc.
Based on the local, state and county recommendations, we will no longer provide complimentary beverages or snacks until further notice.
To prevent the spread and limit exposure, we ask residents who may be in self-imposed, or ordered quarantine, and those who are ill, to limit maintenance requests to emergency status only.  Some examples of emergency maintenance include:
No heat
Flooding
Non-working appliances
No electricity/power
Clogged toilet (if only one bathroom)
Door or window lock failure
As a reminder, other actions our community has put into action include:

We increased our efforts to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces including doorknobs, phones, handrails, and counters throughout all our facilities.
We will be limiting physical contact with each other and our residents, prospective residents and guests by implementing a “no handshake” policy.
In an effort to slow the spread of contagion, we are postponing all resident events until further notice.
We also have contingency plans in place that are designed to minimize service disruptions due to coronavirus impacts, as we do for any number of scenarios.
What You Can Do

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
Clean and disinfect amenity areas, such as fitness equipment, keyboards and computers, or any other common/amenity area prior to using and immediately following.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
If you are feeling ill, please, for the safety of all the residents, friends and neighbors who reside within the community, we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting the office, clubhouse, or amenity areas.
We also strongly recommend all residents consider the remote access tools and services provided through the resident portal.  The resident portal provides 24/7 access to your account.  If you are not enrolled in the resident portal and need assistance, please contact our office and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.  You may access the resident portal at: www.thehamptonsofcloverlane.com.
In an effort to educate ourselves with fact not fear, please visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.
Thank you for your cooperation, understanding and partnership during these unprecedented times.  As a community we get through them together through flexibility and common sense.

Sincerely,

The Hamptons of Cloverlane
